aRtCS will pursue foundational research across the breadth of theoretical computer science by bringing together leading researchers from across relevant disciplines such as Computer Science, Mathematical Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering Science and Biological Science. 

The area of theoretical computer science is vast, rich and diverse and aRtCS will serve as the community for the strongest talent across the globe to make broad strokes on its canvas. aRtCS will play a leading role in promoting cutting edge research in all areas of theoretical computer science, promoting scientific progress at the global level while nurturing talent at the local level.

Why aRtCS

aRtCS seeks to fill a critical gap in the global theory ecosystem by providing a permanent, world-class home for foundational research in India. At a time when short-term deliverables increasingly dominate research agendas, aRtCS is committed to preserving and advancing the long tradition of deep theoretical inquiry that underpins all of computer science. Our hope and belief is that establishing such a center will provide the fertile soil in which creative, beautiful and impactful new ideas will sprout, which will lead to important progress at the forefront of mathematical science and will eventually position Indian science as a global leader in fundamental research.
